England Manager, Sam Allardyce Under Investigation By FA

England’s manager, Sam Allardyce might see his brief tenure at the helm of affairs at the Three Lions come to an abrupt end after receiving a summons from the Football Association. The Telegraph recently published a recording in which Allardyce was negotiating to a £400,000 deal with men who he thought were middle Eastern agents in order to facilitate third-party ownership of players. Third-party ownership of players was abolished by the Football Association in 2008. However, Allardyce was reportedly saying in the recording that he would try to ‘get around’ the third-party rules through channels at the FA. Allardyce who was appointed in July has been summoned to a meeting with Greg FA Chairman, Clarke and chief executive Martin Glenn. Clarke told The Times; “I want all the facts, to hear everything from everyone and make a judgement about what to do,” “Natural justice requires us to get to the bottom of the issues before we make any decision. It is not appropriate to pre-judge the issue. With things like this you have to take a deep breath.”
