Chelsea captain John Terry says his recovery from an ankle injury is going well and is hoping to be “back soon”.
Terry limped out of the Liberty stadium on crutches after the 2-2 draw with Swansea on September 11, and missed the 2-1 home defeat by Liverpool on Friday Night Football.
At the time, the club said they expected him to be out for 10 days and Terry, who has posted pictures of himself exercising in his pool, is confident about a swift return.
He said: “Late night session in the pool. My ankle is feeling much better, hopefully I will be back soon.”
David Luiz deputised in the absence of Terry for the Liverpool game, with Jordan Henderson scoring a brilliant winner for the Reds. Chelsea face Leicester in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night before travelling to Arsenal on league duty on Saturday, September 24.
Should John Terry replace David Luiz when he eventually returns?
